Note Submitter: mb at iname dot com ---- I am using $errcontext in my framework to debug errors. Debugger is not an option for shared hosting environments where an error might only occur under certain rare usage circumstances. I am against removing tools for debugging just because they are "rarely used", without providing an equally accessible alternative. If an alternative cannot function in the same environment or requires considerable extra time invested, it will/might be omitted, resulting in bugs or security holes. "Rare usage" is not an excuse, as some errors are indeed rare, as some development/deployment environments, but that does not make them less important. I hope this decision will be reconsidered in future, or a better alternative than debugger will be provided.
