note 123982 added to faq

Hi, I am stuck and would appreciate some help. Each time I update to the latest PHP version, my website stops working. I am currently on version 5.6 and cannot update to 7.2 The website host is 1&1 and they are charging me £8.44 per month to keep my current version 5.6 The original company that built my website is asking an extortionate amount of money to fix the website to allow it to support 7.2 Can anyone help me fix this myself?
