For 'HTTPS', the note: "Note that when using ISAPI with IIS, the value will be off if
the request was not made through the HTTPS protocol." is also true for Nginx + PHP-FPM. It is
not empty(), it is set to 'off'.
So, to test it in a portable way, use this rather than "just" empty():
if (!empty($_SERVER['HTTPS']) && $_SERVER['HTTPS'] != 'off')
{
// You are sure it's really HTTPS
}
