I had problems connecting to multiple instance of MSSQL so I tried solution suggested by
guilherme_cruz at uol dot com dot br 29-Aug-2002 07:45. It works great but I had to change line
\\SERVER_NAME\pipe\MSSQL$INSTANCE_NAME\sql\query
to \\.\pipe\MSSQL$INSTANCE_NAME\sql\query.
