Session authentication is not meant to be part of the session handlers.
These handlers only read and write the session data itself, and will not allow you to call the vital
function session_regenerate_id().
To add extra authentication routines, call them after session_start returns control. DO NOT put
them in your 'open' or 'read' handlers.
