You can also check alphabet characters like this
<?php
// Alphabetical Comparison
$a="brian";
$b="zebra";
if ($a < $b){
echo $a." is before ".$b." in the alphabet";
}
else{
echo $a." is after ".$b." in the alphabet";
}
// Result : brian is before zebra in the alphabet
?>
