As explained on this page, PHP 8.0.0 expects a Shmop instance instead of a resource. According to bug #81098 this change means that the Shmop closes itself when the script completes so there is no need to close it with shmop_close. Using function_exists('shmop_close') will return true but calling shmop_close will throw a deprecation error. The documentation explains the change in 8.0.0 expects the expected argument changed without mentioning it'll just throw a deprecation error. ---- Server IP: 45.112.84.4 Probable Submitter: 45.112.85.242 (proxied: 89.44.201.163) ---- Manual Page -- https://php.net/manual/en/function.shmop-close.php Edit -- https://main.php.net/note/edit/126396 Del: integrated -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/integrated Del: useless -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/useless Del: bad code -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/bad+code Del: spam -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/spam Del: non-english -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/non-english Del: in docs -- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://main.php.net/note/delete/126396 Reject -- https://main.php.net/note/reject/126396 Search -- https://main.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
