I've just spent ages trying to figure out why my session variables weren't been carried
over from one page to another. The reason, it turned out, was due to the way in which I referenced
the next page. For example:
<A HREF="http://www.somewhere.com/nextpage.php">Click
here</A>
resulted in a new session starting in nextpage.php - not what I wanted (since all my orginal
variables were lost)! Using relative addressing works OK though:
<A HREF="nextpage.php">Click here</A>
Note this is only of interest when using cookies (hence I didn't bother with SID in above
examples).
