After parse()ing some XML using a variant of the example xml object, i found that although i could access my extra fields whilst inside the object, they appeared blank from outside. e.g. xml.parse() (with print's inside the various functions) worked, but subsequent xml.getTitle() or something like that where function getTitle() { return $this->title; } would return nothing at all. I'm sure that this has something to do with that way that the objects are constructed, instantiated and used, but what i would really like to know is a good workaround - I am trying to use an xml object to emulate a document with properties. (Is there is a better way to do this...?)
