<p>In my linux box whith glibc 2.2.3, the good way seems to call, in fact (e.g) <br>
setlocale (LC_ALL, "fr_FR");<br>
and not setlocale (LC_ALL, "");</p>
<p>Also, I don't have to put LANG in the environment via putenv.</p>
Don't forget also, if you are on glibc 2.2.x, to uncommnent some lines in /etc/locale.gen and
to
run /usr/sbin/locale-gen.
