The c function FindNextFile() is the same: on NT it sorts by filename and on Unix it sorts by date
created. There is no way I found to change this. It seems a fair bet that dir->read() calls
FindNextFile() directly. I.e. the option of sorting of the files isnt going to be added to PHP any
time soon :(
