This shouldn't be a problem if the URL you are trying to access is the same as the URL that you
started the session from.
Starting a session [commonly] stores a cookie on the user's computer from the URI they are
currently on. If you then try to link to a different URI you can't use the same session, as
different URIs are not allowed to access each other's cookies (for obvious security reasons).
