You can easily use multiselects by naming the select to array.
Example:
<select multiple name="variablename[]" size="5">
And $variablename[] -array has all selected elements.
POSTed vars aren't in any kind of query_string as I know, but of course you can loop
$HTTP_POST_VARS -array.
