The PostgreSQL timestamp, returns a "2001-12-08 18:52:15-08", to make the minute actually parsed, you need to tack on additional two zeros to the string. Therefore say $var = "2001-12-08 18:52:15-08"; $var .= "00"; That will make strtotime($var) correctly parse (I had problems with the minutes not being parsed - everything else seemed to parse fine though). -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strtotime.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+17649 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+17649 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+17649
