ok..this took me a while to figure out, and i haven't seen any good examples, so hear's a
sample session.
// First page
session_start();
session_register('userID');
$userID = 4;
// Next page
session_start();
print $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['userID'];
// prints 4
don't use $HTTP_SESSION_VARS until the next page, when you're recalling the variable you
set in a page before
