I would just like to comment on the first note for this function. Technically speaking, there is no
answer to a negative number taken to a fractional power. I don't know exactly what you were
using the pow function for, but the solution you came up with is mathmatically incorrect. You could
return the answer of the absolute value taken to the same fractional root and append an
'i' to the end of it (root of -1 is i for imaginary).
