It appears that beginning with 4.1.0, character strings pulled from MS-SQL fields have some
unprintable characters at the beginning and ending of the string.
This causes a problem when you select a field from one database and try to write it to another;
MS-SQL tells you there's unclosed quotes.
Use the trim() function to clean the fields.
