See http://www.php.net/manual/en/functions.arguments.php#functions.arguments.default
for creating default values for parameters (which create those
parameters optional when calling the function).
\n is the newline character. If you want the literal charater '\n' to
display, use \\n, or use \n within single quotes.
The manual notes are not a place to ask questions, please see
http://www.php.net/support.php for places to ask
questions.
