For an excellent article regarding the problems of maintaining distinct state between browsers
windows, and other issues, check out the article called "HTML Thin Client and
Transactions" in the October 1999 issue of Dr. Dobb's Journal. While it seemed to be
targetted to a JSP type environment, I think some of the ideas are transportable here. Disclaimer: I
am quite new to PHP.
