you can define a global varible from within a function or object:
<?php
class foo {
function bar() {
global $somevar;
$somevar = "somevar is set";
}
function moo() {
global $someothervar;
$someothervar = "someothervar is set";
}
$thisvar = new foo;
$thisvar->bar();
moo();
echo $somevar;
echo "<br>";
echo $someothervar;
?>
