With $DOCUMENT_ROOT equal to "/home/user/<username>/www" and lots of include files
in /home/user/<username>/include, I just use at the beginning of every file:
require("$DOCUMENT_ROOT/../include/common.inc");
and as common.inc's first line:
ini_set("include_path",".:/home/user/<username>/include");
Of course, just pasting
"php_value include_path .:/home/user/<username>/include" in your .htaccess should do
the trick, but if your isp has configured Apache too secure it will result in a "500 Internal
Server Error"
