I use uploaded files as input to file open and file copy on NT and UNIX with Apache and PHP3 in both
safe and unsafe mode. So far, just using $fileupload, without touching the _name variable, works
fine. I used all the default settings in Apache and PHP3.
I ran in to problems reading text from Macs. Everything on Macs seems to be "unusual"
including they way they delineate text. I will put up a page listing a solution at http://www.helpnet.com.au/php3/readingtext.html
