Simple solution to the problem of libmcrypt-2.2.4 not compiling with php3.0.12:
copy libmcrypt-2.2.4/mcrypt.h to php-3.0.12/functions/mcrypt.mod.h. Include it, uninclude
"mcrypt.h" as it is included already.
Find the line:
#ifdef MCRYPT_BACKWARDS_COMPATIBLE
Comment that and its respective #endif out, and add:
# define BLOWFISH 0
# define RC2 11
to the include file, and try compiling again. Should work out fine.
