Be warned:
Using an apache linux box if the brackets are in the wrong place (see below) the box spawns hundreds
of processes eventually crashing the server.
(strlen($local[1] < "3"))
[INCORRECT BRACKETS]
Rather than:
(strlen($local[1]) < "3")
[CORRECT BRACKETS]
