It seems that this behaviour has changed.
According to my test page (http://www.planlos.de/test.php), filemtime(directory) does return the
last modification time of the directory itself, not of the newest file in it.
Too bad - i just wanted to use it for setting a "recently changed" icon in front of the
directory link :-)
Any pointer to an alternative way appreciated.
