If you want to connect to the same server twice and open connections to two different databases
(since it's easier to access them with different link resource ids instead of doing a select_db
each time, and this means you can easily put the two databases on different servers later),
you'll need to use different usernames or passwords for the two connections. Otherwise PHP will
"intelligently" ignore the second connection.
