This function may help in loops or whenever you need to know how many records are there in you SQL
statement.
$sql = "SELECT * FROM EMPRESA" ";
$query = ibase_query($sql);
function ibase_num_rows($query) {
$i = 0;
while (ibase_fetch_row($query)) {
$i++;
}
return $i;
}
