As far as i know, there is no function to escape SQL wildchar (% and _). Here is one : function mysql_escapewildchar($str) { return addcslashes($str, '%_'); } If there IS one function to do that, let me know ! -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-escape-string.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+19283 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+19283 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+19283
