note 19377 added to install.windows

There is very little comment on Apache versions here. It took a while to figure out but currently (26-02-2002) it is useless to try to get Apache v2 running with PHPv4.14 using LoadModule php4_module. It will hang on loading php4apache.dll no matter where it is on your W2k system ( correct me if u think Im wrong). With Apache 1.3, just install PHP, then add these two lines to the Apache config, checking that the path is correct: LoadModule php4_module "c:\php\sapi\php4apache.dll" AddType application/x-httpd-php .php I bet Im not the only one who tried in vain to get Apache v2 working judging by the number of problem reports!
