Just to clarify a confusing point in the previous comment (posted by Helio), that might trump
newbies:
NEVER name your include files .inc, ALWAYS .php! Unless you configure your web server to make .inc
files server-parsed, they will be viewable as plaintext in the web browser, exposing your passwords
for all the world's malicious youth to see. ;)
Sounds crazy, but I remember teachers in college even saying "use .inc", and I was like
"WHAT?!?!".
