note 20413 added to ref.sockets

I've many codes about socket connecting but the browser always says; "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: socket_create() in c:\apache\htdocs\socket.php on line 14" What can i do for the function won't be undefined. I've PHP version 4.1.2 do i have to install anything on it to work with sockets. I use win98 and apache on it also. -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.sockets.php http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+20413 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+20413 http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+20413
