I have a function that I use a lot, written by Edgewize over at Warcraft.org. It's useful for
quickly retrieving a field from a table in the mysql database.
Example.. we have the id of a sport and we'd like to get the title of the sport, but
that's all.
$sport = mysql_query_simple("select title from sports where id=$id");
It's bloody simple. I use it all the time.
