In PHP 4.0.6 and 4.0.4pl1 you can only call once this funcion in your script:
fopen("php://stdin", "r");
This code will generate an error if you run it in apache or as a script in a shell:
$fp = fopen("php://stdin", "r");
fclose($fp);
$fp = fopen("php://stdin", "r");
fclose($fp);
