So you want to fix that annoying "libphp4.so: undefined symbol: uncompress" problem after
following the above install instructions?
I had the same problem too and found a posting by Rasmus on the php-general list that goes like
this:
"Add --with-zlib to your PHP configure line and rebuild.
rm config.cache
make clean
./configure --with-zlib --with-apxs ... and your other flags ...
make
make install"
That did it - Woohoo!
