For people making the terribly unfortunate journey from Apache to IIS(version 4 I am talking about,
I am not sure about other versions however), here's a tip that took me much too long to work
out. For some reason in IIS, when dealing with form data that's been POSTed (and maybe even
from GET, I'm unsure as I've not toyed with it), the page recieving the POST will need to
have the line
"global $HTTP_POST_VARS;"
above where you recieve the POSTed vars, eg.
"$myNewVar=$HTTP_POST_VARS['myVar'];"
This stands even if you are not recieving the POSTed variable in this manner (ie. if you are simply
calling the variable from the form inputs on the page before).
Hope this helps someone before they start going insane like I did.
<shameless anything-but-M$ plug>
The simple way around this is simply to go back to Apache =)
