Just got apache to build with php compiled in as a static module- with imap, ssl, mysql, etc.
(linux)
The problem is this- when you try to build apache with php as a static module, it doesn't know
that php needs extra libraries for IMAP. Thus, you'll undoubtedly get link errors when you try
to build httpd.
So here's the fix- inside the apache/src directory, edit the Makefile. Add a rule as such:
IMAP_LD_LIBS= -Wl,-rpath,/usr/kerberos/lib -lc-client -L/usr/kerberos/lib -lkrb5 -lgssapi_krb5
${SSL_LDFLAGS} -Wl,-rpath,${SSL_LIBDIR}
Then:
Insert ${IMAP_LD_LIBS} inside the LIBS1 rule immediatly after -lmodphp3
ps: the -Wl,-rpath stuff tells the linker to remember the library locations instead of searching the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH and system LD directories.
pps: The default rpm for the kerberos libs doesn't seem to link libkrb5.so to the libkrb5.so.3,
same with libgssapi_krb5.so.2. You may need to add these links manually.
Hope this helps!
