[Editors note: this is not the case for numbers in strings, including user-supplied numbers (with a
form for example).
So mktime( ..., "08", ... ) _will_ work, and also
mktime(..., $day, ...) if day is 08 and submitted via a form
--jeroen]
i would like to re-emphasize that the leading 0's need to be stripped, or you'll get odd
results. i was putting in 07 for the month and 08 for the day (july 8) and it was giving me june 30.
when i made them 7 for the month and 8 for the day, it worked fine. odd..
