chris@21c.tc wrote that with the Caldera rpm of Mysql, he was having trouble with PHP connecting to
MySql on "localhost". He said that setting mysql.default_socket in php.ini did not work. I
was also having this trouble, but with an RPM from MySql.
If you set mysql.default_socket such as
mysql.default_socket = "/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock"
and restart apache, it will work. I am using the apache mod build of PHP and I am not sure if the
restart is necessary.
