Speaking of Solaris and regex, while installing PHP 4.0.2 as a module of Apache 1.3.12 under Solaris
2.4 (may be other versions too) I found that setting of RULE_WANTHSREGEX=yes in
[...]/apache_1.3.12/src/modules/php4/libphp4.module is needed. Otherwise Apache uses system regex
and refuses to correctly parse its httpd.conf file. This is not a PHP bug; rather a small problem in
Apache configuration mechanism which I didn't investigate in detail.
