is it possible to extract info from one file name and do the if statement like:

$file = "file.txt";
require_once ("$file");
if ($file > line 1) {
echo "Sorry you didnt match the first line text";
} else {
echo "you passed <a href=\"continue.php\">Continue</a>"; ?>
i dunno....
