Just fought php compile 4.2.0 on RH7.1 linux w/IMAP. Had to include /usr/include/imap/ into lib
path and had to manually configure --with-kerberos to satisfy c-client.h which had Kerberos in it.
My c-client was from RH .rpm. HTH
