You can load, edit and display an PNG image file with PHP 3.0.16 :
<PRE>
<?
Header("Content-Type: image/png");
$im = imagecreatefrompng("photo.png");
// here your standart PHP code to edit an image (scale, rotation, write a string, ...)
ImagePng($im);
ImageDestroy($im);
?>
</PRE>
Do not forget to compile PHP with the option --with-gd (configure --with-gd).
Your gd library should be updated to support PNG.
