Just to fix up on my last post when you set the cookie you must enter the expire argument. So for
the purposes of the code given above, the line to set the cookie would be:
// set the cookie to expire in a year(of course the next time the page loads, it may actually expire
sooner)
setcookie("cookie_name", "cookie value"."|".time(), 31536000);
