After reading all the above notes and reading every tutorial on the web I still couldn't get
the the setcookie working, so I stole it from a news publisher:
setcookie ("mycookie",$value,time()+604800);
(IE 5.5 didn't work!)
setcookie ("mycookie",$value,"time()+604800");
(IE 5.5 didn't work!)
$exp["cookielife"] = 604800;
setcookie ("mycookie",$value,time() + $exp["cookielife"]);
(IE 5.5 did work!)
maybe this might show you the path outta cookie hell
