note 21302 added to function.sort

I have a list of files which are held in an array, in the form of ttssssddmm.pdf where tt is the
type of file in string form, ssss numeric, dd is the day numeric, and mm is the month numeric. I
would like to sort this list by the ddmm element of the filename is this possible? I.e.
ST33950705.pdf
SC33950605.pdf
IM33950705.pdf
It only seems to want to sort on the first two characters and nothing else. How do I get it to sort
on the entire content of the row?
