I am trying to get a single value back from a perl script and it is just not working. I know it is something simple, I'm just not seeing it. The PHP file has no errors. It just does not populate $inpass with the output from the perl script. The perl script runs fine from the shell, passing the proper value back to <STDOUT> This is in the PHP file $inpass = exec("perl /home/site/cgi-bin/crypt.pl $pass"); The Perl file returns a value like this: my $PASS = $ARGV[0]; my $out = &DBCrypt::encrypt($PASS); print $out;
