This may be completely obvious to everyone, but wasn't to me until I asked on the php mailing
list:
__FILE__ is the name of the script file presently being parsed. If file a.php includes file b.php,
__FILE__ will still be b.php if invoked from inside b.php
This doesn't seem to be documented anywhere.
