note 21872 added to ref.sockets

I've been trying to get the example above (telnet echo server thingy) working for quite a while. Thanks to some posts a bit lower I got the extension, but the example code doesn't work like it's supposed to. It echos after every character and therefore won't accept the commands quit or shutdown...I'm running win2k with php4.2.
