Roman, thanks about the 'b' bit. For people like me it should be in fat red capitals in
the docs, or at least mentioned in the fread() doc entry (PHP team? ;-)
So, if you're going to put an uploaded file in a DB, use
$fp=fopen($_FILE["tmp_name"],"rb");
-->note the 'rb'.
