I found out that PHP/MySQL doesn't handle a query properly if there is a newline after the end
of the query.
For example:
mysql_query ("INSERT INTO
table (value)
VALUES ('value');
");
Does NOT work on my installation on Linux.
and
mysql_query ("INSERT INTO
table (value)
VALUES ('value');");
DOES work.
I haven't done extensive testing, but it took me quite some time to figure that one out.
I hope to save ppl some time by adding this note.
